TOMBALL (March 23, 2021) – Tomball Regional Health Foundation (TRHF) is pleased to purchase sixty-two (62) CPR in schools’ kits, forty-seven (47) CPR & First Aid Youth Sports Kits, ten (10) CPR & First Aid Anywhere Kits, and eight hundred thirty-two (832) CPR Anytime Kits for use in the Tomball Regional Health Foundation community. This gift will help create a generation of life-saving heroes and well as allow our youth to learn basic lifesaving skills in the class room or from the comfort and privacy of your home or workplace. Plus, CPR Anytime is completely portable, so it is easy to share with family and friends. Each year, more than 350,000 cardiac arrests occur outside of the hospital and 90% result in death. TOMBALL (March 8, 2021) – Tomball Regional Health Foundation (TRHF) is proud to announce it awarded Lone Star College $40,015. The award will be used to pay for certification exam fees for LSC-Tomball nursing, surgical, pharmacy and occupational therapy students. “These tests are required for the students to start their careers,” said Nicole Robinson Gauthier, CFRE, LSC Foundation executive director. “We are so grateful for the wonderful support Tomball Regional Health Foundation has provided Lone Star College over the years. Their assistance makes such a difference to our students.” The grant will help pay for 242 LSC-Tomball students to take their certification exams. JoyRide Center was established in 2009 as a Therapeutic Horsemanship Center with the mission of helping people with different abilities find more joy in life through equine-assisted activities and therapies. JoyRide Center pursues its mission by providing opportunities for all participants to increase competence through the development of functional skills across multiple domains, and to participate productively within a community.  Competence and community are integral parts of JoyRide Centers’ programs, and this emphasis has facilitated the enrichment of the lives of JoyRide Centers’ clients, their families, and our volunteers. TOMBALL (February 24, 2021) Tomball Regional Health Foundation is proud to announce the funding to Montgomery County Youth Services (MCYS) for the bilingual crisis counselor in the Magnolia Office. MCYS provides crisis counseling, shelter programs, and prevention services to strengthen families, keep youth in school, and prepare them to be productive citizens. A Spanish speaking mental health counselor will provide services to the youth served at the Magnolia Office. This office also serves youth from Tomball and Waller. Counseling will include; individuals, family, and group counseling sessions to assist the young people to cope with depression, anxiety, problems with relationships, school problems, etc. The parents will also learn effective parenting skills to strengthen the family and help the youth stay in school. TOMAGWA has been open for more than 30 years to serve uninsured residents in the Tomball, Magnolia and Waller areas. They have grappled with treating patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, as all health care organizations have. Their mission is to bring hope and healing to Combat Veterans and their families suffering from the effects of combat-related Post Traumatic Stress. PTSD Foundation believe that by taking a whole person approach, offering evidence-based peer-to-peer mentoring, both on an individual basis and in group settings they can help these drastically reduce the Veteran suicide rate and get them back on the path to a healthy life. Tomball Regional Health Foundation awards a $10,000 grant to SIRE Therapeutic Horsemanship to provide therapeutic riding lessons to promote healthy outcomes for children with disabilities throughout Tomball, Magnolia, Waller communities.    SIRE is so proud to partner with the Tomball Regional Health Foundation to bring better health outcomes to children of Montgomery County through therapeutic horseback riding. This $10,000 grant from the Tomball Regional Health Foundation will underwrite the cost of 10 children with special needs being able to experience the life changing benefits of therapeutic horseback riding at SIRE Therapeutic Horsemanship. Both the dental and the medical program will receive $50,000 for the coming funding year.   During the course of 2018 dental grant the funds allowed TEAM to cover the expenses of emergency dental services for 47 adult or senior clients at an average cost of $830. The goal of both organizations is to not only alleviate the pain and suffering caused by tooth decay and infection, but to also prevent oral diseases from developing into more serious health complications. TOMAGWA HealthCare Ministries announced today that it has received emergency funding from the Tomball Regional Health Foundation (TRHF) to revitalize the clinic. The decision came after a small team of TOMAGWA staff and Board members led by Interim CEO, Timika Simmons, met with the TRHF Board and presented updated 2019 budget projections which revealed the need for an infusion of immediate funding. Tomball Regional Health Foundation’s (TRHF) demonstrated their continued commitment to breast healthcare with their fifth donation to The Rose, a Texas breast health nonprofit. The newest investment of $25,000 in the Empower Her® Sponsorship Program will help cover the costs of breast health services for up to 200 uninsured or underinsured women and men in Tomball, Magnolia, Waller, and surrounding areas. Along with supporting no-cost mammograms and diagnostic services for medically underserved patients, the gift will also offset increased expenses of 3D imaging (the "gold standard" in mammography) and pathology fees for biopsies. HOUSTON (February 15, 2019) —The Tomball Regional Health Foundation has generously underwritten Northwest Assistance Ministries’ (NAM’s) Meals on Wheels Program again for 2019. This contribution will allow NAM to provide hundreds of meals a day to seniors in the Tomball area. NAM’s Meals on Wheels program delivers hot, well-balanced meals to the doors of seniors and other neighbors who are homebound because of disability or illness. The Rose will continue to help ensure women in Tomball, Magnolia, Waller and surrounding communities will have the breast health care they may have put off as they dealt with the aftermath of the storm thanks to the $20,000 grant from Tomball Regional Health Foundation (TRHF). As the leading nonprofit in breast healthcare for Texas, The Rose received the fourth and largest gift yet from the TRHF in support of its Empower Her® Sponsorship Program which makes possible free breast cancer detection screenings, diagnostic services and access to treatment for uninsured women.
