Coming Fall 2025
Administrative and Learning Center

TRHF strives to enhance the communities we serve through the addition of a modern administrative office complex and learning center on 5.5 wooded acres in the heart of the Tomball Medical Center. This building will be utilized to assist our funding partners and for programs that support our mission of improving healthcare in the greater Tomball region. The surrounding park area will be open to the community. It will include a shaded walking trail complete with fitness stations, a sensory garden for special needs individuals, a tranquil stocked pond, a covered pavilion, and other outdoor features that promote health and wellness in our community.

Supporting the Greater Tomball Community

Welcome to the Tomball Regional Health Foundation, formerly known as the Tomball Hospital Authority. Our mission is to promote wellness and improve health status for all residents in our communities through programs that enhance access to health care, preventative care and health education.

TRHF executes this mission by funding non-profit organizations that provide health and wellness programs and activities in Tomball, Magnolia, Waller, Cypress, Klein, Spring, and surrounding communities.

TRHF is Proud to Announce an Endowment To Lone Star College – Tomball in Honor of Elmer Lee Beckendorf

Tomball, TX - Tomball Regional Health Foundation is proud to announce last week that they had funded a $75,000 endowment in memory of community healthcare and education advocate Elmer Lee Beckendorf. Mrs. Dorothy Beckendorf and family members attended the announcement ceremony at the foundation’s offices.

The endowment will fund the cost of obtaining an Associate Degree Nursing for one student each year at Lone Star College-Tomball.  The endowment was gifted to the Lone Star College Foundation.

Acting President Dr. Lee Ann Nutt said, “LSC-Tomball continues to be in awe of the commitment of the Tomball Regional Health Foundation to the health of our community and to the college,” as she attended the ceremony.

“The foundation is funding a nursing faculty position, equipment and necessary supplies for both our nursing and pharmacy tech programs, and now this wonderful endowment to provide all the necessary financial resources for one student each year to attend classes and earn an Associate Degree Nursing,” she explained.

“They are a wonderful partner in assisting us with providing the necessary health care workforce our community,” she added. Executive Director of the Lone Star College Foundation Darcy Mingoia, also attending the ceremony, noted that the Tomball Regional Health Foundation has already committed more than $400,000 to the healthcare programs at LSC-Tomball.  The endowment is an additional gift.

“Mr. Beckendorf was a visionary community leader that helped create both the college and the hospital because he realized educational opportunities and a trained healthcare workforce were essential to the growth and vitality of the Tomball community,” she said.

“This particular endowment, which will fund tuition, fees, books and equipment for one student each year in the Associate Degree Nursing program in perpetuity, is surely one of the finest ways to honor the memory of Mr. Beckendorf.  His family was pleased and we are sure that Mr. Beckendorf, though humbled by the gesture, would also be pleased,” she added.
