TOMBALL, TX  - Tomball Regional Health Foundation is proud to announce its continued support of the TOMAGWA Dental Clinic as well as additional funding for the Medical Clinic for the coming year. “TOMAGWA is a Christian ministry that, by the Grace of God and in response to the Love of Jesus, provides quality health care, offers hope and restores dignity to uninsured, low-income families and individuals in the Tri-County region,” said Lee Ann Kroon, TOMAGWA’s Executive Director.

The TOMAGWA Dental Clinic has continued its operations since opening the doors in January 2013 through the generous support of the Tomball Regional Health Foundation and in response to the need for dental care for the underserved of our community.  This last year the TOMAGWA dental program saw 1,775 patients and the value of provided services is $2,235,228.00.  Patients of the clinic come from the Tomball, Magnolia, Waller and surrounding areas. Dental services include preventive and restorative care such as cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canals, crown & bridge, dentures & partials, and comprehensive routine screenings.

Projects that target economically disadvantaged children have also been implemented at the on-site clinic and remotely in Tomball and Magnolia Independent School District. Plans are in place to continue providing services to the school districts for the fall of 2016.  “Through the contributions from Tomball Regional Health Foundation, many individuals and families’ lives have been changed, said Lorie Jones, Director of Dental Services. We are grateful for their generosity.”

TOMAGWA HealthCare Ministries is a nonprofit Family practice, primary care clinic. It is a safety-net clinic for the working poor, providing quality care for those without health insurance and unable to qualify for government assistance such as Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP or county assistance in its various forms.

TOMAGWA manages one main clinic in the heart of Tomball with two satellite clinics in Magnolia and Waller. The Tomball clinic is a one-stop health care facility that includes medical, dental, a vision center, lab, pharmacy and many other essential services. It conserves the time, energy, and transportation costs of its low-income uninsured patients. The clinic enables patients to access direct health services, thereby stabilizing their medical costs. At the same time increasing the efficiency of service providers by facilitating cross-referrals and allowing them to share resources within one facility. The Funding for the Medical Clinic from Tomball Regional Health Foundation will help TOMAGWA see new patients that they wouldn’t have had the opportunity to.

Tomball Regional Health Foundation (TRHF) “We are so proud that we have been able to help TOMAGWA with Dental Clinic and Medical Clinic as well as help the citizens in this community receive the care that they so greatly need,” said Jack Smith, TRHF Chairman of the Board.
